You will receive your ID cards in the mail directly from your insurance carrier within 10-14 days (about 2 weeks) from the start date of your plan. For example, if your health insurance plan start date is January 1, expect to receive a physical copy of your ID card in the mail on or around December 15th.
You can obtain a temporary copy of your ID card in two ways:
1) Go directly to your insurance carrier’s website and create a member portal account.
2) Call your insurance carrier’s Customer Service department to request your ID number.
